WWII Veteran William Alexander Scott III at Buchenwald
The Scott Exhibit is a photographic essay of one of Atlanta's leading African-American citizens, whose family founded the Atlanta Daily World newspaper. William A Scott III later became the editor of the newspaper. He was a tireless civil rights leader, businessman, chessmaster, loving family man, radio show host, artist, poet, public servant, WWII photojournalist and a witness to the liberation of the Buchenwald concentration camp.
This exhibit was curated by the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust and is available for touring or can be seen at the Anne Frank Exhibit in Decatur, GA and at the Teachers Museum South, located at 689 North Ave., Hapeville, GA.
