Founding Director of Commission Sylvia Wygoda passes away at 67

Sylvia Wygoda, Holocaust educator and founding director of the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust, passed away on August 5, 2015, at her home in Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Sylvia was a trailblazer in Georgia, founding the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust and bringing the exhibition, Anne Frank in the World, to the state. In so doing, she has left an important legacy behind. We are grateful for her efforts and accomplishments.
