Holocaust Learning Trunk Project launches in Statesboro and Vidalia

The Holocaust Learning Trunk Project launched two trunks to the communities of Vidalia and Statesboro.

On September 26, Holocaust survivor Dr. Eugen Schoenfeld presented a trunk to the students of J.R. Trippe Middle School. Senator Tommie Williams and Representative Greg Morris were present while Principal Gwen Warren welcomed the trunk on the school's behalf. Later that evening, Dr. Schoenfeld also shared his story at Ohoopee Regional Library.

On September 27, a trunk was presented to the students of Southeast Bulloch Middle School. Senator Jack Hill, Representative Jan Tankersley, First Distric RESA Director Shelly Smith, and Principal Donna Clifton welcomed the trunk. Dr. Schoenfeld shared his story with the students.

The trunks were decorated by Boy Scout Troop 1818 and Ivy Preparatory Academy.
