WWII Liberator: William Alexander Scott, III Exhibition

Exhibition:   "WWII Veteran: William Alexander Scott, III"
The Marietta History Center is hosting the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust's exhibition:  "WWII Veteran: William Alexander Scott, III".   This 14-panel exhibition explores the life and impact of William Alexander Scott III, an African American WWII liberator from Georgia, who was among the U.S. soldiers to liberate the Buchenwald concentration camp, and as an Army photographer, document the atrocities discovered there.

Speaker Program:   Alexis Scott
In conjunction with the exhibition, Alexis Scott, the daughter of William A. Scott, will speak about her father and the experiences that shaped his remarkable life as a witness to the Holocaust, newspaperman and lifelong activist for civil and human rights.

5:30 - Doors open: Reception with light refreshments
6:00 - Welcome and announcements
6:15 to 7:45 - Presentation, questions and closing remarks
7:45 to 8:30 - Gallery is open for guests to see the exhibit
